IMPORTANT MORGAN ANNOUNCEMENTS
FOOD DRIVE

The INTERACT Club is having our first school wide community service project.  From now until Friday, October 31, we are collecting as many non-perishable foods as possible to be given to our two local food banks, APOYO and FISH.

The types of food needed include:  Jars of peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese, tuna, rice, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups, and all kinds of beans.  If you are able, please send some canned or dry goods with your child but remember that Halloween day is the cut-off for bringing foods to MMS.

A party will be awarded to the top homeroom class from each grade level---6th, 7th, and 8th.  Fun times!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2014

Pictures of family members who have served in the military are due to the office today.  We will be honoring them during the Veterans Day assembly on November 10th. Put your name on the picture so we can get it back to you safe and sound.

Hey 6th and 7th graders, Erika from INTERACT wants to announce the Food Drive for MMS.  We SCARE hunger!  If you would like to participate, it starts today and ends next Halloween Friday.  Please bring non-perishable food.  And guess what?  The best homeroom from sixth grade and from seventh grade will win a party!

The AUTISM SPECTRUM describes complex brain disorders caused by a combination of genes and environmental influences, or at least that’s the best we know right now.  Kids having this challenge find social interactions and communication very hard.  Mozart, one of the world’s renowned musicians, likely was on this Spectrum and left our world with amazing musical works.

Alyssa Cox and Megan Rogers want to remind you that next Tuesday is Morgan Pink Day.  Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness month and wear something pink.

Pick up your sports pictures for soccer, Fastpitch and football from the office.
